If you get some cosmetic products and read on the back of them, you will see that most of these products contain alcohol, usually as a disinfectant and adhesive substance.

If you are struggling with bed bugs, now you can easily destroy them by using rubbing alcohol. You just have to spray the mattress and pillows, and after a couple of times, your bed will be completely free of these bugs.

It can also be used for many other purposes like:

Skin cleanser

Cosmetic products for acne usually have benzyl peroxide inside. However, rubbing alcohol has anti-inflammatory effects that soothe the affected skin, disinfect pimples, and prevent appearance of acne. Just apply it on the affected area.

Cold Sores treatment

Almost 85 % of the world population has herpes virus, but only some experience a break put. If you are one of those, apply 70 % isopropyl alcohol on the affected area, and watch the positive results!

Deodorant Replacement

You can use alcohol as a deodorant replacement. Just rub some of if on your armpits, but make sure you don’t rub too long so that you don’t irritate your skin.

Removal of Ingrown Hairs

After shaving, apply some rubbing alcohol on your armpits and bikini and remove ingrown hairs, and treat irritations.

Cool Pack

Mix water and alcohol in 2:1 ratio and put it in a sealable plastic bag in your fridge tor 1 hour. Then, use it as an ice pack, or cool your meals when they’re outdoors.

Remove Nail Polish

It’s simple. Don’t use chemicals that can damage your nails, but rub them with alcohol and replace chemical acetone.

Clean Your Ears

Don’t use cotton swabs for ear cleaning, since they might seem as cleaning the ear perfectly, but in fact they push the earwax deeper into the canal. So, you can mix rubbing alcohol with white vinegar, soak a cotton swab in this mix, and drop it into your ears and the earwax will come out on its own.

Destroy Lice

Put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, and add some drops of lavender oil. Spray this mix on the scalp and comb the hair in order to eliminate dead lice.

DIY Hand Sanitizer

You can use it as an effective homemade hand sanitizer. Just mix 1/2 tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol, a couple drops of tea tree oil and 4 ounces of Aloe Vera gel and prepare the solution.
